Managing Pages

Managing Pages: Headers & Sub-Headers

Does your index in your group look something like this? Every Page and Album you have is not in any particular order? You can arrange the order of every custom page and album in your group.

Here is an example of how your index can look. Example 1 shows some pages viewable, but with hidden sub-headers. Once a header is clicked on, the sub-headers will show, as shown in examples 2 and 3 below.

Step 1: Write down the names of every page in your group. Categorize them by headers and subheaders. Shown below is an example of how the pages are originally set up, categorized by circled colors. In your own list, make note of the pages that you will group together, ie: All albums, and All message boards.

Step 2: Once you've noted which pages will be grouped together, you are ready to manage the order of your pages, and how they will appear in the index. Signed into your Manager or Assistant Manager passport, click 'Manager Tools' located at the bottom of your left index. Then click 'Manage Pages'.

Step 3: Start by locating the first group of pages you will place the order. ie: All message boards.
Find - Messages (located in the left pane, by scrolling), and either move it up or move down by clicking the indicator located on the right.  Once you have placed 'Messages' where you want it, continue on and find the other 'Message boards' you've created, and move each of them up to just below 'Messages'. Example below there is a total of 4 message boards, 'Messages' will be the 'Header' and the 4 message boards - General, Fun Board, Work Board, Off Topic, will become the -sub headers.

Step 3: Once you have All message boards in their group, Leave the 'Message' as the header. Do not click 'hide' or 'indent' for this header. For each of the 4 message boards, click 'indent' in the right pane. Do not hide these 'sub-headers' or they will not show once the header is clicked.

Step 4: Grouping all albums. Find 'Pictures' and either move up or move down in the list where you would like this 'Header to show in the index.  Continue finding the remaining albums in the list and move each of them 'up' to just under the 'Pictures'. They will become the sub-headers.  Once you have grouped all albums together, click 'Pictures' in the left pane. Leave 'un-indent' and 'un-hidden'. Next, click each of the remaining albums, and click 'indent' in the right pane.*nbsp; Do not hide the albums, they will not show under the header 'Pictures' in the left index.*nbsp; Some people prefer to hide all albums from the index, and members will only see the list of albums once they click 'Pictures'. By adding a separator bar between 'Pictures' and the remaining albums, the left index will not show the list of albums.
